- The automotive industry is evolving and making its way into e-commerce.
- An inclusive e-commerce approach with opportunities for all the players to participate.
- Aleph Solutions incorporates Adrian Poletti, an expert in the auto parts industry, into its team to reinforce its commitment to the sustainable growth of the sector and to accompany them through the challenges posed by today's increasingly competitive and diversified context.
The automotive industry and all its sectors - auto parts, engine parts, tires, vehicles - have been showing signs of transformation in their business operations for some time now. As a result of the pandemic, the process accelerated and forced the major brands to look for options that would allow them to participate in an e-commerce that was becoming competitive and diversified.
How can the automotive industry grow in the e-commerce? As the demands of the context increased, brands had to find solutions that would allow them to sell their products, generating opportunities for all commercial agents, factories, brands, wholesale distributors, importers, dealerships, parts stores and repair shops.
Aleph Solutions was born in 2017 envisioning the challenges that would come for all those who want to participate in e-commerce, creating a sustainable ecosystem with opportunities for all those involved. For this reason, it becomes the first platform in America that allows brands to create standardized and automated digital product catalogs, to be shared with wholesale distributors and retailers, and to be marketed through different sales channels - marketplaces, e-commerce sites, among others.
This happens with a particular focus on the automotive industry, auto parts, motorcycle parts and tires, identifying the complexity in the creation and preparation of their product catalogs. Here we emphasize that in the after-sales process, each product marketed in the industry is associated with a vehicle fleet with brand, model, version and year that defines the use of each part in a specific vehicle and incorporates all those with which the part is compatible. Do you want to know more about this compatibility feature? We invite you to review some of the frequently asked questions from the auto parts community in this content.
Today Aleph Solutions has more than 2,000,000 SKUs. +220 brands and wholesalers have already created their e-commerce projects connecting vendors, branches and delivery points. +3,000 catalogs are available as part of our platform, ready to be shared with the entire commercial network.
Strengthening commitments
To continue our commitment to the industry to create a digital ecosystem of opportunities throughout the Americas and understanding the complexities of the sector, Adrian Poletti joins our staff as Key Account Manager.
Adrian was born in 1968 and since he was a child he shared his passion for the auto parts world with his father. He has a degree in Systems and his goal has always been to combine technology with the auto parts industry. He assures that "The digitalization of the auto parts catalogs will always be necessary regardless of the channel where sales are made". This is because in this world there will always be new models, new vehicles and new emergencies of auto parts needs. Online sales are an expansion, an arm that extends beyond the scope of traditional auto parts sales, taking it to new horizons of growth.
His experience has led him to work with companies from different countries, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and to be recognized as a reference by chambers such as AFAC (Argentinean Association of Component Factories) and ARIDRA (National Association of Representatives, Importers and Distributors of Automotive Parts and Accessories). In addition, being invited by major trade fairs and exhibitions around the world such as Automechanika: the leading international exhibition for the automotive industry.
Adrian affirms that "we have been working together with Aleph Solutions for 5 years to bring new e-commerce solutions to the sector. Adrian affirms that " it has been 5 years since we started working together with Aleph Solutions to bring new e-commerce solutions to the sector". At that time, Adrian was working in his company AG that, looking to sell in Mercado Libre, found the need to create a first digital product catalog together with Aleph Solutions: "Together we wanted to respect the historical work of the commercial channel, but taking it to new e-commerce strategies. We started working with the digitalization of sales through digital catalogs to expand the possibilities to new business models and bring logistics and supply facilities to each of the links in the commercial chain. Ultimately, no matter where we sell them, auto parts will always be necessary for our customers and a livelihood for those of us who work in this."
The challenges of the Future
We know that in order to make more and more factories, brands, wholesale distributors, importers, dealerships, repair shops and parts stores become part of this new ecosystem in an orderly and competitive way, we must show them how - through the creation of digital product catalogs - this is possible.
What is ahead is a process of transformation when it comes to e-commerce. Aleph Solutions is evolving to be the operational center of global e-commerce. The intention is to assist all brands in the region in their first steps in cataloging. Our mission is to centralize all processes and actions that happen in e-commerce, adding wholesalers and incorporating new players so that everyone can grow and develop in a transparent and competitive environment with the same tools. Our mission for what is to come is to organize the commercial chain and incorporate spare parts stores and workshops to e-commerce and digital sales strategies.
The event from October 11 to 14 at Automechanika Argentina 2022 is a convergence point for all the energies invested in continuing to bet on a digitalization process that has just begun and that promises to keep investing in offering the best solutions for the automotive auto parts sector. In addition, Gastón Zelerteins, Diego Majlis and Adrián Poletti will be giving a conference on Thursday 13 at La Rural to present the new developments in e-commerce.
